Treasury launches OECD Economic Survey of South Africa, 5 Jun

The Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) will launch the OECD Economic Survey of South Africa on 5 June 2025. The OECD Economic Survey of South Africa is an independent and internationally peer-reviewed assessment of South Africa’s macroeconomic trends, structural reforms, and policy challenges.

It benchmarks South Africa’s performance against OECD and G20 countries and provides concrete, evidence-based policy recommendations to support the country’s reform agenda. The 2025 edition includes a special chapter on the electricity sector and green transition. The Survey is the result of extensive consultations and is formally reviewed by OECD member countries before publication.

Media are invited to the opening session of the launch, which will be under embargo until the release of the survey.
